The little polka dots dress - YouLookFab Forum

This is the third dress I came home with today. It's from a trending Quebec company called "Rien ne se perd, tout se crée" (Nothing is lost, everything is created). It's polyesther and spandex, quite thin. It's reversible, and by that they mean you can wear it back side front. I tried it but it looks much better with the lower collar in the front (on me).

1-2: Dress as is, with ankle black booties and with white sneakers. I really thought the sneakers would look great with it, but now I am not sure anymore.

3-4: With a Saint-James breton striped shirt, worn on top (with pumps) and underneath (with clogs).

5-6-7: With cropped toppers. First version in white, second with black and black capri leggings. I find this style of silhouette works best with ballerinas, I don't know why.

8-9-10: With a fitted red jacket. Not sure about the heels.

11-12: Trying something new. Bright red clam diggers, white bolero and red sunglasses.

Cute dress!will be lovely in the summer.l like it with the sneakers and definitely the sunglasses as well,what about trying it with a low wedge summer sandal or espadrilles if you have them?I feel that the boots are too heavy with this dress to my eye.

Thank you everybody! It's a surprise to me that #3 would generate so much interest (I thought This will be for a day when I'm bored), but I can see how different it looks now. I can't wait to be able to wear pumps again. I wouldn't go out this way now gived my recent surgery, but I definitively will this summer. I used to no longer fit in those simple black pumps, despite their relative lower height and the fact they are branded towards fussy feet, because of the ex-bone spur (that is now gone). #3 is a silhouette I used to favor when I was younger, but that I had to slowly move away from because of The toe. It's really nice to go back to it (albeit this time with lower heels like here, and not for full days).

efbgen, I think I am starting to "get" your aesthetic, and I think we have similar preferences! Thank you for your feedback.

Cardiff girl, I do have such footwear you describe, and certainly will give it a try. It's a great idea. It would give it a very carefree summer-like vibe.

Jane, you're right. My wallet wouldn't agree (despite each dress not being so outrageously priced, but three at once will tear a hole in a budget!). However, in spite of this, and in spite of the fact that I usually am the worse remorse ridden buyer when the cash machine goes above a certain point, this time I have no bad feelings at all.

Ledonna, Rach, Lesley, thank you for your feedback. I am glad you like the red pants with it, it confirms my hunch that it could work. Which is a good thing, because I'm always running cold.

i'm a simple girl so i love #2 with the sneakers....would love to see it as Cariff girl suggests with a low wedge summer sandal or espadrilles. or a simple flip flop....add i'd try a basic denim jacket topper..

OMG. You wear dresses so well. I would never have know there were so many different looks for a single dress. I couldn't believe how imaginative and creative you are. This goes second for the dress in the other post.

Having seen these two posts, I may have to now reconsider my opinion on dresses as a category.

While many prefer 3, I like the fun and whimsy of 8. Maybe it’s because I work with children, maybe it’s because I find pairing stripes with polka dots obvious and the other is more creative and unexpected. In any case, I love that cardi/jacket with the bird appliqué. Very fun and happy looking.

Sterling wow, that's impressive if it's the case! I have to be creative with dresses because otherwise I would simply not wear them. I live in a northen, cooler climate and I am naturally always running cold, even when others are in short sleeves outside.

What a fabulous dress - I love how you have styled it. I need to take notes, because this is the way to dress when travelling, creating many different looks from one dress. Styling this dress with the red pants is unexpected and looks so fun and stylish.

Wonderful to see that your foot is recovered and you are wearing normal shoes again! I loved the way you turned your cast into a Blade Runner inspired accessory, but you must be loving the freedom of having it off.
