Anyone ever try out The Kit?

I'm interested in one of their Maya dresses but I am wondering if this voluminous style is one that only looks good on the waifs they show them on. Also wondering about sizing. TIA!

Nothing to add except that I’ve been watching the Kit for several months, but haven’t yet made a purchase. The colors and prints are so vibrant! I’m tempted. Hoping someone else has practical info to share.

The pieces seem very bold, maybe too bold to be worn different ways as part of a wardrobe. I like the colors and print combinations. .

I am de-lurking to weigh in. I ordered 3 items last summer: an Issa jumpsuit, a Harper pant, and A Zoe shirt. I was inspired by Stacy London - she was wearing The Kit on her Instagram and looked fabulous.

The items are lovely, well made, with bright colors. I get a lot of complements on them. I picked prints that came in 100% cotton fabrication. I got my size wrong on my first order and returns/exchanges were super easy.

Well, thank you for de-lurking because I just placed an order, so this gives me confidence!

I love the jumpsuits, but those would definitely be for my fantasy life. I ordered one of the cool slouchy dresses with a desert scene on it. I can 100% imagine taking the kids to the pool club or walking the dog in it on a hot day (and I have a beach vay-cay coming up). My real life--less glamorous, but I still love fun clothes!

15 minutes ago, I was living in a blissfully ignorant existence, having never heard of The Kit. Now, I have 13 tabs open of different garments that I am sighing over, so thanks for that. LOL.

Their looks feel a teensy bit mid-to-late 1990s/early Y2K to me. It also reminds me of Desigual, but more grounded and accessible (or do I mean, mature?)

Okay, I'm revising the previous statement: It's as if Desigual and Boden had a love-child together, and I am smitten. I'm going to keep an eye on their tropical prints, going into summer.

My wishlist right now includes, but is not limited to:

The Tracee pants in pop-pink
The Cargo Skirt in Olive Iris
The Turtleneck in Jade Iris

100%, Mary Beth... I was eyeing one of their Maya dresses in a geometric print in a sort of sky blue and acid green, and I totally had a skirt in those colors in the 90s. I skipped it because I don't love that blue near my face. It's a shame, because the geometric print is actually more than the one I ended up ordering!

I don't love everything on the site, but I sure love a lot.

@Thin White Duchess How well do these launder? I want to order one of the sweatshirts for my mom, but I feel she won't wear it, and will save it "for good" (= never ever wear), if she can't throw it in a normal cold wash cycle.

I know they put the wash instructions on the website, but I'm interested in hearing what the actual experience is

@Mary Beth, the items I got were wovens, so probably different fabric than the sweatshirt. But so far delicate machine wash + drying rack has been fine for me.

Update! The dress was, as I feared, just shapeless and unflattering. (Somehow the crew neckline didn't look as nice in person to make up for the slouchy fit.) The fabric was not what I expected, a silky woven rather than a knit. I liked the fabric, but I think shopping in person might be the only way to get slouchy right, because just a tad too much fabric in one direction or another and you're just wearing a bag.
