Updated-The keep contenders- some top picks

Here are a few things that I've received that I think I want to keep. Meaning that they fit, they feel good, I like the style, color, etc. But I don't have an unlimited budget- and I don't want the size of my overall wardrobe to increase by a whole lot- so I will have to make some choices. And I still have quite a few pieces ordered that have yet to arrive so I'm not ready to make final decisions yet.

Lafayette cardigan- this looks rather boring in the picture but it is beautifully made and has some nice details, like a back that can be gathered to add shape plus a thin line of beaded trim.

The Franco Sarto loafers in burgundy patent fit well and the color is a nice shade. I just need to review my shoes and pants to be sure the color works well.

I don't wear much wool but I can if it's soft, which the Ted Baker lace sweater is, and it's also not too heavy. I've been favoring more woven tops lately but one or two new sweaters for winter would be nice to add.

I got the Ecco sneakers in black and I love them...super comfortable and cute too.

The navy pinstripe is a wildcard for me. Surprisingly, the ruffles don't bother me at all; I quite like them! My concern is the length of the sleeves. They look nice folded back but I'm not sure they will stay. I have to try it again and see if hemming is a possibility.

Urgh, I am not going to be of much help because I like them all. I got that navy blouse, too, and it's a keeper - I do have very long arms, tough. I would have liked the loafers and the cardi, too, bug my budget was spent.

You have made some wise choices in my opinion. I have just ordered the loafers in blue velvet after a lot of thought given to blue velvet shoes. I would have ordered the sneaks if they had been navy, and am still thinking about them if I can decide what color.

I love anything Ted Baker, and that sweater is especially appealing. I love the look of the pinstripe top. Hope you can get the sleeve length to your satisfaction.

Anybody should be so lucky as to have that black cardi in their closet.

I know I have said nothing to help you decide what to keep, but if you possibly can, I would say keep all.

Those are nice! Did you have to size down on the Franco Sarto shoes? They seem to run a little big, or maybe a lot because they are big on my high volume feet.

Tanya, you had such a great sale! I've heard some women say that they have gorilla arms.....I must have T-Rex arms because sleeves are always long on me!

Bridgie, if the velvet had been more navy I might have gone for the blue too. I'm wondering if I need the sneakers in silver too. And while black is still a favorite for me, I would rather add more navy to my wardrobe and that cardigan is actually ink.

Joyce, I did take the smaller of my two sizes in the loafers. The front is comfy for me and I wear a widish medium. I do need to try them again to be sure there isn't too much room at the heel.

Susie, I am trying to wind down, and most of all stop changing my mind. With that said, I did not realize the cardi is ink. I swear, that is just what I need! I have worn black forever, so, I have stopped cold buying black and going for navy and ink. The only way I could justify that cardi is to return a few items, (some of which I have not even received yet)and get the cardi! hmm Thank you for pointing out that the cardi is ink. I have a lot of decisions to make this weekend, as many others do.

I love all of the encouragement but you aren't making my decisions any easier!

There are still several pieces I've yet to receive but I have to add these 2 to my maybe list- the teal coat and the RT tweed jacket.

I need a not too heavy coat that is not black. I want to wear if for work but it doesn't need to be overly dressy. It will be between this teal and a burgundy boucle wool (waiting on a size down to compare.) Both are a good weight, comfortable and nice colors for my wardrobe.

I've decided to return the navy pinstripe blouse. Overall, I think it's a bit too long on me. The peplum hits at the right spot but the sleeves are so long and the opening at the bust is a bit too low. And it's pricey and with some nice toppers as alternatives, I think I'd rather put my dollars toward them.

I am eager to get everything so I can make my final decisions. And then I hope to be basically finished for fall/winter shopping, with the exception of 1 or 2 pairs of shoes or boots. And I will wait and shop locally for those in September.

Susie, you are wise. The blouse is gorgeous and would have been lovely on you but if the fit is off a bit, might as well make room in the budget for something better.

I'm super jealous about the Ted Baker sweater. I wanted it but it sold out before I pulled the trigger. Sighing...it's lovely!

I also love all your other items and options. I have a pair of the Eccos in white (and a pair of the Ecco 8s in silver) and I adore them.
