Has anyone seen this? A friend of mine just ordered them (two for $10 plus $6 s/h). Here is a video demonstrating various ways to wear it:

I'm wondering if you'd just end up wearing it the same way, or if it really would be as multi functional as it appears.

If anyone can wear this dress, you can Sara. When you have a great figure, you can wear it many ways. It reminds me of the knit Multiples we wore back in the 90's. I'm suprised a jacket option isn't offered with it. The Multiples were an unstructured look that also required great posture to pull them off. The fabric will probably pill sooner or later, but at that price, you can get a season's wear or use it for travel.

Good point joy! I think this could be a great vacation dress! You can tie it one way to throw on as a bathing suit cover up with flip flips, tie it another way to out for dinner with strappy sandals, tie it another one to go sight seeing with wedges, etc...

A store close to me carries the satin version of the butter dress - it looks nice but def. dressy. It's not my cuppa so I never tried it, and I can't speak to how wearable it is. I could see it working great on your figure though, Sarah.

A colleague of mine has a friend who wore the butter dress for a wedding and she said she looked great. Sorry, this is very second hand... I personally find the concept a little bit goofy for an all-purpose or occasion dress (wouldn't a regular dress in a cut that is ultra flattering still be better and yield just as much mileage if you can transform it through different accessories?), though could definitely see it working swell for a vacation dress.

That's what I was wondering, Antje. If you'd end up just wearing the dress one way (the most flattering) anyway. I'll probably pass, but I was intrigued momentarily.
