...and I'm pretty sure I'm sending them back. Here's a review though if anyone was considering them.
The good: They are pretty, and the leather seems to be thick and good quality. The gold zippers are just what I wanted. The footbed feels comfy and my toes don't feel cramped. Shaft is tall enough for me.
The bad: The calf is a bit tight on me. I can zip them up on bare legs but probably not with pants. The biggest problem is that those lovely gold zippers? They stick. Even at the loose ankle, I had trouble pulling up the zipper because it was sticky. This does not bode well for a boot that you have to zip and unzip every time you wear it.
The ugly: In contrast to the too-tight calves, the ankles are quite large and baggy and this makes them feel a bit too galoshy for me. This is a common problem for me, but in my experience the baggy ankle looks much worse if, like here, the calf is very tight.
Oh, well. Onward and upward. Ceit sent me a link to some nice looking gold zipper boots at J Crew so I may try to go find them in store to try on.
