I have really only been lurking lately, but as there are some pug lovers on the site wanted to share that we had to let our girlie pug go a couple of weeks ago. Poor thing was only 11 but had acute pancreatitis. The vet wasn’t hopeful but I wanted to try fluids at home in the hopes that she would improve. She improved slightly but then had a rough night which told me the humane thing was to let her go. I’m so sad. Our boy pug seems to be missing her - intermittent barking and howling on the iPad recording while I’m gone. My boss is kind enough to let me bring him to work for the second time today. Of course he hates car rides and didn’t sleep a wink the last time, but at least he gets to be with me.
I have always described her as not winning the beauty contest with her snaggle tooth and wonky eye, but being voted Miss Congeniality. She was also a bit of a daddy’s girl.
