Guessing the CKs. Not sure why, probably like Mochi, because I like them more. My second guess would be "neither".

Really hard to choose. I vote CK, slightly more streamlined.

This is tough.

Assuming both pair of shoes fit your fussy little feet

Both shoes have a retro integrity, the SW are more tomboy and really tap into the 90's nostalgia for Bass Penny Loafers, however, you have moved away from being the Urban Prince. The treatment of the leather is pretty and bright which match your style goals, hmm?

The CK pair have retro 1930's war time vibe to them, the narrower silhouette is more refined as is the sole/ heel of the shoes, definitely Urban Pretty, the pale gold colour is perhaps a little too close to the creamy gold of the ankle strap shoes in your wardrobe.

In summary IDK, but if you do keep a pair will you add the penny?

Thank you for your thoughtful responses. They were amazing to read, and I was entertained. You lasses are astute.

ETA: I kept the Stuart Weitzmans. They were a perfect fit for my low volume, unpadded, fussy little feet. VERY cushioning - I didn't even need to put in an insole. Amazing! They look quite dainty and refined actually, which I like. Less glitzy in person. The CK's were not as comfy and too wide on the instep, so I fell out of them. And surprisingly chunkier on my foot.

I got rid of many pairs of shoes this season, so there was no problem with that. I have plenty of space to store shoes. The gold loafers are also very dfferent to the sueded ankle strap flats so no duplication. I will wear both pairs a lot.

Well done to those who guessed the Stuart Wetzmans.

Yay! Those were my favorite of the two. Can't wait to see them in an outfit!

I guess we won't be shoe twins. The SW look great, though. I wish they came in silver. Maybe it's good they don't!

Oh good, those were my favs as well

You've said two things today (or in two threads I've read today anyways) that have really struck me: to do with items "earning" a place in your wardrobe. (the olive dress, and these new gold loafers) You are so smart about this, and so meticulous about your choices - I want to be like you.

My favorite for you. I cannot wait until you do an OOTD

Whoops! I finally saw the SWs on my laptop, in close-up. They look very different than on an iPhone. They have a great shine and texture. Can't wait to see them styled.

Yay! Those were my favorite although I didn't have a chance to respond earlier. I can't wait to see them in action.

Love. Good to know that his shoes are as comfy as his boots!

I'm too late to play the game, but I love the Stuart's. They have kick. The CKs were awful plain, and wearability is critical in any case.

Love the SW pair! How great that they stay on your heel. Enjoy.
