I've been on an epic quest for the perfect replacement for the biker jacket I wear almost daily. (It's full of holes now.) It's definitely my statement look.

I started out looking for a classic Perfecto-style jacket. After a year of looking, buying, and returning, this season two good contenders came into the scene. I snapped up both in last week's 25% off sales, and I will keep one or neither.

1. Theory Adashi jacket - cropped, close fitting. I bought it in a S. It fits through the shoulders and sleeves very well.

2. Theory Dalayan jacket - boyfriend style, very loose. I bought it in P (extra small) and it's still quite big, probably bigger than intended.

My friend bought the Dalayan in S (she's usually M) and it looks perfect on her. On me, though, even the P seems to overwhelm me. But, it is amazing to wear and the salesgirl loved it on me (she has an interest in selling it of course). I fell in love with it, but now I'm less sure.

The Adashi, on the other hand, is much more cropped than I usually wear - but perhaps that's good for me. I'm 5'4" with a long torso and short limbs. A cropped jacket might lengthen my legs, but I'm not used to it. (Also, I know the sleeves are too long on both, but that's just the way it always is.)

Both are on the bulky side for indoor wear, so it would be outerwear more than a topper.

The first three photos are the Adashi and the second three are the Dalayan. What are your thoughts? One? The other? Neither? Thanks so much. Both are serious money, so I've been agonizing over this all month.
