Hello ladies -- we attended Thursday's taping for the show that will air today at 4 pm. The guest is Chelsea Handler and the adorable Sophie Grace and Rosie were also onI have no idea if we will be on camera, but the cameras were certainly moving all over the audience the whole time. We werent allowed to take photos during the show of course, so these are all pre-show and post-show.
I had my son take a bunch of photos last week of outfit options which I never got to post due to laptop issues, so I had to decide what to wear without you all! I will post those pics eventually - it was a lot of work to do that, by the way. I have newfound respect for you regular WIW posting gals.
I ended up in my new Calvin Klein navy and white striped dress, with my new tomato red Kate Spade bag. I realized that no one ever takes full body shots when they are shooting iPhone pics as there was not a single picture with my shoes! I wore a pair of pale grey patent pumps - excellent neutral, as it turns out. I matched my VIP pass!
The lighting in the studio was amazing. I wish I lived in that lighting all the time!
So, Photo #2 -I need to be nice about it, since we're only nice on YouLookFab! We are with the group in the photo - the gentleman, with whom I used to work, is our host, as his partner works on the show and he arranged our VIP tickets. The woman in red works for him and the woman on my right is the 22 year old girlfriend of one of his 45 year old friends. And that is all I can say. Except....
As we were being seated, the Ellen employee pulled me aside and said, "I want you to sit on the end." I took that as a big compliment ! Thank you YLF -- I was definitely pretty dressed up for that crowd. However, i was literally physically shoved into the row by this young lady who said, "Oh no, I have to sit on the end. I have.....claustrophobia!" And sit on the end she did.
Pic 3 is with my husband, the birthday boy (the trip was to celebrate his bday).
It was a really fun experience. Ellen looked amazing in boyfriend jeans, striped shirt, blazer and booties. She's tiny! She danced out into the audience, of course. She's very very kind. And funny, of course. The show was really well run.
I brought too many clothes on the trip, and didn't think about the fact it would be wonderful weather so I had tights and boots and East Coast winter wear. As much as I travel and as much as I learn on this board, I am still not a great packer as it turns out.
Have a nice week everyone!
