I just got back from seeing the new Batman movie. Has anyone else seen it? (I know Angie has).

Whoa. It was really good, and super intense. The Joker was scary! It's such a tragedy about Heath Ledger, he was so talented.

i've seen it and i loved every minute of it! I was also very excited to see the trailer for Watchmen! Another one i'm looking forward to.

And yes, Heath Ledger did an amazing job. Very, very tragic especially when he says the line about him and Batman meeting again often.

The only part that bugged me was how much eyeliner they put on the mayor....

Ooooh, high fives for the Watchmen trailer, nicoleb! Love that there's another Alan Moore fan on the forum.
I loved The Dark Knight, and you're right Ana- it was really intense! I was actually surprised at how dark it was (even for Batman, which is always kind of... Gothic). I wouldn't have minded a little more Cillian Murphy though- I just loved the Scarecrow in Batman Begins.
And for a little bit of fashion talk- I loved the costuming choices they made for the Joker. Much less cartoonish than Jack Nicholson's version, but still maintaining the spirit of the character. Nicely done, I think.

You know I adore Mr. Bale and he comes first, but Mr. Ledger stole the show. The joker was brilliant. Loved batman on his bat bike best. The scenes from the Hong Kong buildings were sublime. I felt I was there again too. Fab movie, but Batman Begins was better. Do you disagree?

Can’t wait to see the new 007 in Nov.

I agree that he stole the show. Brilliant performance by Heath Ledger. Very dark but well done movie.

Dani, see it soon, it's so good! I agree with Angie though, that the first one was slightly better, because it felt like a stand alone movie, and this one is fantastic, but does have that feeling like it's meant to be a follow-up movie, and have a sequel (kind of like the second Lord of the Rings movie). But I'm excited for the next one now.

I haven't seen it yet, and since this week is absolutely crazy for both of us, BF and I shall probably see it on out NM trip. Can't wait!
