DTwin and I turn 60 this month. We began celebrating early by working with a jeweler to create Happiness Factors to mark this milestone. We focused on being identical twins, and still individuals, so customized pieces were the way to go.
Of course, we chose to create a bracelet. We began with the decision for one stone to be a Maine tourmaline ( opals and tourmalines are October birth stones). Next we each picked our favorite color (hers green, mine blue). We knew we wanted cabochon stones vs faceted. The jeweler sorted a selection of green tourmaline, blue topaz and aquamarine stones and I had the BEST time choosing stones with my DTwin....all done with photos and via phone calls.

Next we chose the style of bangle we wanted and yesterday I went in for a sizing session. One stone is set, the other stone will be set now that the sizing is done. The birthday bracelets should be done next week and we are sooooo excited to see the finished product!
Pic #1 shows the stones we chose. DTWin-green tourmaline and an aquamarine. Mine- green tourmaline and a blue topaz. Same style bracelet. Same color palette, but individual stones, to celebrate our unity and our individuality. We call the bracelets Maine Woods and Waters.
Pic #2 shows the start of both of our bracelets: her green and my blue.
i will be giddily happy to show you the finished pieces!

Pic #3 shows DTwin’s bracelet with both stones (only one is set). This gives a better idea of the design.

Thank you for looking. I hope you go put on a happiness factor. It will make you smile all day!
