I tried out the Michael Michael Kors and Ellen Tracy trench coats at NAS, (shown here: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....contenders ) and with a lot of help from you all--thank you!--I decided to pass on both of them. I ended up getting a Calvin Klein trench that wasn't on sale, in a color called "truffle."

It's a short style, but I think the length will work well for me; it's what I want most of the time. I do have a longer black coat I can wear for the few occasions I need something like that. The new coat has the hood and removable lining that I was wanting--yay! So it's not khaki, but I think this color will actually be more versatile for me, and I like it.

Shown here (pics 1-3) with jeans, my go-to graphite booties, and Brahmin bag.
Shown in pics 4-5 is the black version of the coat that I also tried and decided against. DH and I both liked the truffle better. (Mmmmm, truffle!)

Not a K/R, just thought I'd share here and give you an update, though comments and styling ideas are always welcome.
