Thank you, everybody! I really appreciate the input. My eye has not totally adapted to the midi length, but I do like this dress since the shape is easy and flowing and it emphasizes my waist.
I went with the BBQ strategy for #1 and #3 because there was only one left in my size in each one. #3 was really a no-brainer. I put it on and it immediately felt like me. I can wear it with at least three different pairs of boots I already own, and at least that many jackets as well.
I took the leap for #1 because it spoke to me more than the solid color one. I figure I can always return it if I decide it doesn't work on me after all, but the feedback here has been encouraging.
I don't know why, but it seems every solid color dress I've owned in the last few years (other than black) is purple. It has not worked out well for me. Both purple dresses I owned before I tired of quickly, and they're both too big for me now anyway. It's funny to me how many people say they tire of prints quickly -- I seem to be just the opposite!
