Oh, I LOVE it and love the outfit combos you showed that you like best. Thanks for showing us difference between high and low contrast. I agree, it's better with a darker bottom! But it is fab.

And oh -- if you wore your darker tan/whisky trousers (you have some, I think? or maybe jeans...) you could be matchy-matchy with your Burberry scarf!

Well, that is a pretty great coat, and I can see why you have kept it. The nice thing is you learned why you didn’t want to wear it and can avoid that mistake in the future. The outfits all look very nice, but not very much like Angie - where is the orange? the red? the pink?

The cream barrel look is my favorite--maybe because it does bring out that sporty length. Puts it more in that vintage/bomber/pea coat/ready-for-take-off mode....also, who doesn't like white and navy?

I apologize for skimming and not reading through the entire post before commenting . I see there is a thought process going on that I need to lay attention to ;). I’ll dive in in detail when I get home from work !

I love every outfit but I think my favorite is with the white jeans. I don't have a Burberry peacoat but I do have a navy jacket and I'm inspired to try to copy your look because I have those curve jeans.

Dee, “outerwear blazer” is dead right. I like that terminology! It’s also a lighterweight coat I can easily keep one inside, so there you go. Appreciate the kind compliments

Janet, I’ remember you not enjoying this length of outerwear either. I must be more mindful of that in future. I can see you rock my navy pinstriped pants!

LJP, thanks for the kind words! Not to worry about skimming ahead to the pics - I do that too, and it’s natural Maybe you’d prefer my navy pinstripe trousers in black, and please live!

Robin F, thank you! I like wide legs and flares with tailored boots too. Kind of grounding, IYKWIM.

cat2, YES! I have the BEST vintage Yorkie brooch from 1961! See Find. I’ll pop it onto the coat and add my gold boots! Could be festive

Oh, that Yorkie brooch TAKES THE CAKE.

Cookie, oh, I know! It couldn't own a more magical-for-me brooch.

JoyceB, such a sweet thing to say, thank you! I like the juxtaposition of the relaxed slouchy cuffed jeans with the strict military peacoat too. Appreciate your analysis!

Windchime, it’s been a while! Fab to see you chime in. And thanks for the kind compliments!

Lisa, YES! Fun to change things up once in a while because like you, I enjoy variety in my outfits. Thanks for your positive and kind comments, and always

April, we need a skirt in the plaid of that lining!

Suz, thank you! I can see you wear these outfits! Maybe with your silver or black patent boots You and Brooklyn are on the same brown page. Yes, I have many pairs of toffee pants. Less contrasting than the bright cream, yet still not my favourite. Although, it might grow on me!

JAileen, I know, right? These are not my typical looks! I’ll do a version with a citron bag and citron top so that you recognize me

Bonnie and Carol, it’s rather fabulous that you like the look I like the least, the BEST. Case in point: we all see different things. Fashion and style is sooo subjective. Thanks for the encouragement, and Bonnie - humbled to have inspired you.

Well, I really like the outfit you don’t, with the white barrels.
I do love the navy pinstripes, legs look so long in those.
I am thinking that what I like is partly my own preferences- I enjoy contrast and tunic length/long over lean.
I also love cat2’s idea of the brooch, your gorgeous Yorkie brooch.
Yorkshire seems to be coming up lately!

Jenni, thanks for the encouragement! It's natural to gravitate to the version of a look that suits your own sartorial preferences - something we all do at some point

I am Team ANYTHING Yorkshire. Especially the canine version.

I do agree that the cream bottoms don't have the same effect as the dark ones ....but I still do like them here. To me, leg lengthening isn't an issue with your body type ;).
