The BurBerry Store... - YouLookFab Forum

So I really have the pleasure and honour of being back down town and working back downtown in Chicago. One of the things that I loved about working there is that I get to walk to different destinations and different buildings that have a service in the Communications Department. One of the stores that I happened by was the Burberry store on Michigan Avenue.

It actually caught my attention. I should say the site two very feminine Lacy girly overtly pretty dresses white lace dresses. It was what was in the middle that caught my attention this beautiful beautiful suit, it was just beautiful. As a matter of fact Skylurker was wearing some of the fashion forward clothing I saw.

If I had that type of job that I could wear these clothing and I would pattern myself after Skylurker I love this look I just love it. I don't think my curves allow for the straightness of it all I think it's severe but I really think it's a pretty severe meaning I think that it's so attractive to me.

What a great area to work in. Is there still an Eileen Fisher store on Michigan Ave.? I can definitely see Skylurker in the middle outfit, but if she ever wants a white dress, those in the window would be perfect.
I can see you wearing this style. Your curves would make it look different on but add something too. I would love to see curvy models in these same outfits.

Our body shapes and styles are different, but I've noticed that when we comment on other's WIW, we often pick the same favourites Ledonna. We must have similar tastes.

Wouldn't you crave colours, though? I can't picture you in uniform white&blue, you wear colours so well.

I've loved the idea of a white dress and black boots for a while. The white lace dress is even better.

It is a big shift from the maximal outfits I first saw you in, but a very stylish choice. I agree that it would look different but fabulous on you.

Such great inspiration! I am enjoying working downtown Seattle, too, and seeing the shop windows on a regular basis.
I can see Skylurker in that middle outfit, and I would like to wear something like that, too, if I had the lifestyle/job for it. Or maybe I just want to imagine it, because, in reality, on days off I can wear whatever I want, but I don't usually go for a suit-like look, now, do I?

Firecracker, I think you're right all my days off out of all the things I could pick. I would not choose a suit it's not my lifestyle. I wish it was but Angie says transfer the life you have.

Annagybe I like that the laces been toughened up by the boots. Or the other way around.

Skylurker & Rachylou, years ago before ylf I wore the uniform of black brown and gray no color. I'm very tempted to add a beautiful suit to the mix with some great shoes cuz I have shoes like those. Just invest in something very beautiful and very unique lovely. Until such a time I will just admire Skylurker.

bridgie it sure is very lovely to see pretty things my world is so straightforward complex but straightforward so I love seeing the creative side.

I used to work at Michigan and Wacker and I miss how easy it was to just walk up the street and window shop or people watch. Now it's a Metra ride and a hassle...but I still love the area.

And love those dresses, too! I have a soft spot for girly white and cream summer dresses.

Ooh, Ledonna, I love it, too! And I think you could wear a version of it-- think of the fun of thrifting for the components (though you probably have very little time for thrift-shopping these days!) --if you don't mind surrendering the waist. Clearly, the cropped pants and that delicately detailed, buttoned-up long pale shirt create the fresh proportions. Add a slightly shorter, loose and unconstructed blazer (maybe from the men's dept.?) and there you are. The shirt might be lurking in the plus-size section (I find beautiful fabrics & finishes there sometimes and re-work the pieces) to give you the looseness and length. Or a man's tuxedo shirt in a beautifully tucked batiste . . . Well, now I'm inspired. Just realized that I have a pair of navy cropped cotton pants, and an old Donna Karan loose indigo linen jacket. Oxfords, too. Just need to work on the shirt . . .
