I recently got a blazer custom made to fit me (see here: http://bit.ly/17Xg3SW) and i'm OBSESSED with the concept. Has anyone else done this?

That jacket is so sharp and looks fantastic on you! So funny, but I am traveling with a friend/client who is an incredibly tough size to fit -- under 5' I think, and curvy. She struggles to find clothes that fit. She was wearing a suit today that fit everywhere except the shoulders were huge, and I just wanted to walk her to a seamstress so she could enjoy finally enjoy the look and feel of something fitting her everywhere! Then I came back to my hotel room and saw your post. Was it terribly costly?

Viva it was fairly expensive only because I did it in Hong Kong and also went to a top tier tailor. however i've been looking into custom tailoring in the States and have found much cheaper options. For a girl that rarely find things that fit me perfectly, this was amazing

I can tell it feels amazing to own this jacket because it looks amazing on you! My friend is up for a new job and if it comes through I might encourage her to hook herself up with a custom suit. She deserves it!!

Wow, that looks great on you! I have been wanting to get a blazer, but every one I try on is too big in the shoulders if it fits in the chest. Blazers seem to be designed for the less busty, at least off the rack. I've been thinking of getting one that fits well in the body, and having the shoulders altered. But I think I will wait until next year for that; I am in the process of losing weight and gaining muscle, so I don't want to invest in $$ clothes until my size is more stable. For this year, I might see if I can find a knit blazer that works; shouldn't they be more forgiving?
