I’m not even a huge pearl wearer, but I will definitely be sporting them in celebration on 1/20!

Today’s events have been frightening and infuriating. And on a purely personal level, I have friends who are Capitol police — I hope they are safe. And my stepson was working on Capitol Hill today — he made it out ok.

I am looking forward to more peaceful times.

That *is* true. I have to be forthright and admit it’s a funny thing for me to think about with all this whatnot going on around this monumental achievement for women in the US. Also, my parents knew Kamala’s parents. Hard to take a moment out and give the moment it’s due respect.
