I would wear every single one of these today if they were hanging in my closet.

JUST KIDDING. (Except maybe that ruffly bright pink v-neck one in the last photo, with the gingham wrap skirt and white clogs. I would definitely give that a whirl).

I remember seeing people at studio 54 in bodysuits and skirts & associate Halston with ‘em.
I was born in ‘73 to hippie Parents and then Disco loving Aunts. They wore bodysuits back then & I had one.

I distinctly remember wearing one in the 70s as kid/pre-teen, and then one in the 80s as an art school student. I think I'll live with the memories and live it at that!

But you rocked ‘em in the 90s, so it’s all good! I had one then too and would try a fitted now for under a blazer or toper.
If I tucked, I’d try a fluid one.

I definitely wore bodysuits in the 70s. Loved them. My parents didn't. They were not what you would call fashion forward. (I can imagine my siblings rolling on the floor laughing at the thought.)

I’m pretty sure my mom had one and never wore it. My dad no. He was into fashion, but I guess not THAT much fashion, lol. My parents didn’t wear polyester come to think of it. Not like on tv. They looked down on it actually. Hmm. I guess they were more Ali MacGraw Love Story people. Tweed.

My mom and I used to wear them over tights for exercizing to Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda shows! I had many, in all sleeve lengths.
Did not realize they were worn by men too in those days.

I wore bodysuits throughout junior high school and high school in the mid and late 1970s, usually with high rise corduroy pants and my beloved corduroy blazer. I was seriously stylin' during my school days!
I'm glad to see bodysuits once again, and I am game to try one now.

Hahaha! These are amazing. I love the unnatural poses and “casual” group shots in 1970s catalogs. That to me dates these photos more than the clothes. Maybe this style of modeling is due for a comeback!

Mom was still in her 30's and I was in my teens. Yes, we both wore them in the 70's. Did not do this in the 90's. Honestly, didn't do much in the 90's except power suits and wrap dresses for work, and mom jeans and T-shirts for off duty.

I definitely wore bodysuits in the 70s. I had a couple of prosaic turtleneck ones, but the bodysuit that got the most love was made of a stretchy type of flocked netting in a very dark red with an abstract purple design. I know, it sounds hideous beyond bearing, but hey, I was 14 and spending my own money. My poor mother. She did have to choose her battles! I wore that interesting item with wide-legged corduroy trousers and jeans.

Teenager of the 70’s here! Yes that’s how we kept our tops so neatly tucked into our very high waisted pants! Btw, there was no spandex back then so I think they must have been polyester. I honestly didn’t know they made them for men, though. Funny!

Oh, dear. I didn't know there were bodysuits for men, too. Yes, I wore bodysuits in the 70s. With my hip-hugger jeans. And never again since then. Hard pass for me. No doubt that thick elastic in the legs has changed over the years to something that lays a little flatter. But it's just a whole lot of ugly panty-line memory for me!

Love these pictures! I was still a kid but old enough to remember some of this. Or at least watching Charlie's Angels. Hmm, I think I did wear bodysuits in the 70s as a tween. My parents definitely did not.

I was born in 1973 and don't remember bodysuits. But they make perfect sense, because a lot of tops and pants were really tight, and it would have been messy to tuck all that extra material.

Well, in SOME cases the '70s and the '90s might have overlapped as fashion decades. However, I experienced them as pretty different from each other. The '70s were fun, colourful, "wild" and experimental. In comparison, the '90s were rather "tame" and minimal and VERY neutral. Lots of people spent the entire '90s wearing neutral colours. In the '70s, though all shades of brown were popular, a person dressed in neutrals only was a rare sight. And he (it would usually be a man, e.g. a business man) would at least have included 2-5 different patterns and often platform shoes and longer hair. Compared to the abundance of fun and creative outfits in the '70s, the '90s often seemed more discreet, boring or depressed.
