Happy Thanksgiving (for those of you celebrating today!) I'm with B. at his parents' house, going to celebrate with my family later on, and meeting up with friends at our hangout bar in the evening.
Though our family and friends are extremely casual, I decided I would be most comfortable in my knit long-sleeved, midi skirted, drape necked dress from Toronto with gray hose, bright red low heeled booties, and a silver pendant on a black cord. The purple floral print of the dress has some red in it, which was fun to bring out with the shoes.
In the spirit of the day, I'm thankful for B. for sticking with me during hard times and being the person who laughs with (occasionally at) me; my mom for being the person I call up when I'm happy or sad or just want to hear her voice; my dad, for being my voice of reason, and for introducing me to really excellent music; my sister, for our shared ability to carry on whole conversations in movie quotes and for inspiring me to dream; to Shadow, for making me feel so loved every time I'm home and she runs up to poke me in the leg with her nose; and to you all at YouLookFab for your advice, wisdom, and friendship.
Despite having some really low moments this year, I really am supremely lucky and I need to recognize that more often.
