Thanks to Deborah!

Some time ago Deborah sent me a parcel with three lovely garments in it. In honour of her birthday I am showing them all to you. (sorry the photos aren't great - still using DH's mobile)

The two "skorts" outfits (pics 1,2 and 5)I have worn out in identical or similar outfits to those shown.

I haven't yet worn the green mesh midi, but am trying out 2 different dresses as underneath layers. Which looks better?

What a lovely thing for Deborah to do! I especially like 1,2 and 5 and the green is beautiful with your skin. I like the shape of 4 best. Could you get a long (length of green mesh) slip to wear under the midi for summer?

Thanks Joy. I hardly even wear green but I like it too. I am not sure a conventional slip would be enough, as it is very see through. I like the shape of 4 better too. But perhaps a simple tank dress would work - I will keep an eye out for one.

I would have like to show these much earlier, but am having logistical difficulties from much less internet access as well as no camera.

Anne, the photos make it a bit hard to tell, but I am loving you in these midi silhouettes!

And I must say you are looking incredibly fit and wonderful.

As for Deborah, she is a peach of the pinkest persuasion!!

I am in LOVE with those skorts, and they flatter your willowy form so well, Anne, it is just astounding! I bet you were turning heads up and down the city/town roads, in and out the house! Great pairing with the ruffled vest as well as the plaid---EVER so stylish and individual!

Also, love your dress layering BOTH ways. I think each is interesting in its own way. I didn't think you could do better than the cobalt with the asymmetric hem that is so hip and trendy... but then the I see the floral peeking through, and that is so unexpected and gorgeous. The colour is delicious on your pale skin. A soft rosy blush would work too under the green, for a more romantic, 'soft dressing' look --- especially if it had a drapey neckline or something.

Some of your best Anne, and I spy a couple of FFBO opportunities here!

Anne you look great! I really like how you have styled the skorts. They work much better on your taller, leaner frame:). I also like your creativity layerimg under the dress. I was boring and layered a black sleeveless tshirt dress under it the one and only time I wore it. I think the green is going to be gorgeous on you. When you get your camera sorted please post more pics as it's a little hard to see any definition:(.

I think I prefer the green mesh in pic #4 without the longer length of the dress underneath in #3.
The colour and style really looks great on you Anne. Deborah is a very thoughtful person indeed!

Deborah is instead such A "peach"!!! I'll have to come back with better definition pics when we get around to buying a new camera (ack, too much decision making in that process)
I have to admit though, re the comments on "willowyness" that I have actually put on weight recently and these photos make me look unnaturally skinny! Something about the angle DH took them at perhaps. But I was certainly happy in! the outfits that I wore at the time too!
