Thank you! (Maybe my hair isn't quite so dodgy afterall)

Thank you so much for your kind words about my "boy hair" freak out yesterday.

I think I'll explain my gratitude via a (real) series of texts I sent to my husband yesterday. (Just be aware that my husband is generally a long hair admirer so he was not in favour of the big chop in the first place.)

Text #1 "Darling. OH NO! What have I done?! I now have *really* short hair and I look like a boy. Please tell me that you'll still love me no matter how bad I look! :-("

Text #2 "Have played with hair and looked closely in mirror. Maybe I was slightly over-exaggerating how bad it was."

#3 "Have just been on YLF and completed the school pick-up. Everyone who has seen me has told me that I look stunning even though it is boy short. Maybe I don't look like a boy and you will like it afterall. :-)"

My husband's reaction when he first saw me and my hair, when he *finally* got home from work that evening?

Silence followed by, "Kate, you really do look beautiful. Short hair really does suit you!"

YAY!

So, a big thank you from me to you for being so kind and reassuring!

Below is another photo of me after I "played" with my hair just a tad, messing it up a little. I hope you can see an improvement - I think it will take a couple of days working out how to get it just so. I'm now at the point that I'm feeling like perhaps I've accidentally notched my slowly evolving style persona to another level! <tee-hee!> Thank you YLF x

My dear, you look stunning! This short look, however you want to tweak it, is going to be a winner for you. I think you may want to keep it short for a long, long time. So glad that everyone's comments and positive feedback were helptul to you during your angst! I know the feeling...

What a touching story. You really do look beautiful. The short hair lets your gorgeous face shine. Your hubby is right, short hair suits you.
I must say that you were so sweet to be concerned if hubby would love you with short hair. That is VERY sweet. I'm sure he would love you with no hair. You're a doll.

I didn't get a chance to comment on your SOS earlier this week, but this really warmed my heart I really think you can wear your hair at both lengths. I like how you tweaked it here. I also think it might be worth getting the fringe a little more choppy for when it is straight like in the other photos.

So glad you're feeling better about your hair. Contrary to popular belief, short hair can be very versatile. Keep trying different things with it. I bet you'll have a lot of fun. I've been wearing my hair short for a while. My husband was worried about me cutting my hair off but he loves it short! Glad yours likes your new do too.

I think you look beautiful and the cut is chic! I know it can be a shock, but I think it really does suit you. I love what you've done here with a little tousling, scarf and earrings. All of those things have more impact with short hair, so make the most of it. I went a bit short yesterday too, so I understand. But I think you look great! Have fun with it, it'll grow before you know it and you might even be sad to see it get longer!

Cute! My husband wasn't wild about the idea of me cutting my hair, but now he prefers it short. I think you will have lots of fun playing with it.

I cant beleive I missed your new haircut Kirstie! Good to see you're getting a bit more used to it now, it's just that initial shock of having something so different that is so jarring. I have to agree that I think you need the fringe chopped up a bit more, I think you face shape is a bit similar to mine and you might find with less hair on your forehead will improve the overall look. It will take some getting used to with your lovely smiley face being the centre of attention but I know you can pull it off
