Thanks to an early morning PM from Manidipa and insanely low prices on the Clarks India website, I have now purchased these oxfords!

I still have to wait for Hubs to go to India and pick them up when he goes to India next, but I'm over the moon at having bought these! My nude Clarks oxfords are my fav shoes, so I am so excited about these wine ones

That's good news indeed! I hope to hear from their customer desk about my query tomorrow and order myself a pair too, so we can be shoe twins

I wish the nude ones were available here too --- they only have the suede version here, which is very cool with the red sole, but my record with sustaining suede hasn't been the greatest.

Kirti, just chiming back in to say I think you'll love your new shoes --- because I just got my pair home from the mall yesterday!

I actually thought I might try on any old Clarks oxford to get a grip on the sizing... and look, there they were in the right size and colour, just by the door! Of course they came home with me.

The colour's really lovely --- almost like polished mahogany in that patent finish, with a slight variation in the colour, darkening at the seams. The leather is, I think, stiffer than your tan pair (I compared to the mushroom and tweed version, which also has the softer leather), but there's enough flexibility built inside to not have the seams and back curve irritate skin --- I stomped around with them on my bare feet to confirm.
