Textural Black and Grey and styling new pants

Today’s outfit formula was perfect for me. Bought a pair of faux leather pants recently and wore them for the first time today. Great opportunity to try to style them.
1. Outfit 1 is what I actually wore today. A pair of black faux leather pants, black platform booties, ribbed black cotton hoodie, a black and white checked blazer layered over the hoodie (the “grey” in my outfit), a black crossbody bag adorned with black and grey crystal glass and a black/grey smaller scarf tucked into the neckline. In the first version I put a crystal glass brooch on the lapel, but when I decided on the bag, I took it off. It was too many decorations, lol!

2. Another possible version - more casual with a grey jacket and black/grey sneakers.

3. A bit crazy version with a black/grey/white quite distinctive scarf and white patent loafers. Not sure I will wear this, but fun to try.

4. This is a version of Angie’s first outfit. Here I am wearing a western inspired large grey suede scarf with the same faux leather pants and cotton hoodie.

You wear them all so well, Katerina. Your outfit no. 3 is my favourite. It works because the white colour of the shoes is repeated near your face, in the patterned scarf. Is it a white bag I see on the floor? This (or a black&white bag) will be a great addition.

Just a tip: Sheer black tights (instead of opaques) will probably be the best option with white shoes. They will give a softer contrast and a lighter overall impression. (If necessary, for extra warmth you can wear nude tights under the black ones. )

I love the new wardrobe addition, those pants are so elegant and a beautiful cut. Number 1 is my absolute favourite, it is so dressy and gorgeous and what I think of as signature Katerina style. I may have to carry away that crystal glass bag before Suntiger arrives on the scene.

My favourites are the first and third outfit. I agree with the Cat about lowering the contrast on the shoes.

I’d like to see 2 with a bigger scarf or a colourful scarf (I know that’s not the outfit formula). I just feel it lacks your signature drama. (Drama being a good thing!)

Bijou, I am trying to do the same as you - to use my office wardrobe items more to various free time activities and in a casual way. I must say I find it a challenge - it often turns out quite dressy anyway, it will take a while to adjust my dressing habits. I appreciate your kind comments. And likewise - you are a great inspiration to me - you use your blazers and other dressy pieces in a beautiful creative way also for weekends and WFH. It is not easy.
