Tell me where you got your skinny cargoes!

I'm on the look out for a pair, preferably in a darker Olive color, but lighter will do if fit beautifully. So far I found two pairs that fit my not'so'big budget, Target pair:

I'll try to run to Target maybe tomorrow (I'm alone with kiddo as hubby got sent on a business trip and might try Macys but it might be hard with kiddo in tow, besides, I can't tell if they have those in B&M stores!). Any other places worth checking?
I went to the mall today and didn't see anything interesting in F21 which I'd think has plenty of those, or H&M... They seem to put out shorts everywhere now, but it was in upper 40's here today).....

Sorry I know you are on a budget and so am I, but experience has taught me to be more careful for the fundamental elements of the wardrobe... cargo are difficult to pull off as it is.

I lucked out at a local outlet store and got mine for $10. They technically aren't cargo (no pockets on the legs) but look just like 'em. And I wear them so much more than I ever thought that I would. They are apparently a Canadian based company - Jacob Connexion - so I'm not sure they can be found in the US in average stores.

I got some INC (International Concepts) at Macy's last year, but they may have them again. I also have a brand called Outback Red that I thought I got at Target last year. If you see Outback Red, be wary that the fit is not consistant even in the same style and size. However, even DH likes the pair I ended up with and they held up well to constant wear.

I have a pair from Goodwill that I love. The brand is Public Xchange, I don't know who sells that brand but I think they are a juniors brand by the sizing.

Mine are out of your budget sorry. JBrand Houlihan. I have a washed olive and a sateen khaki. I think Nordies has them on sale now though.

Mine are from Loft (from early fall, I think). I liked them because they came in tall sizes, and the thigh pockets are positioned on the front of the thighs rather than the sides.

I got the JBrand Houlihans also - on sale and a gift from my husband. There was a pair at the Gap that was surprisingly similar, and I just saw some there recently.

I don't own any but I saw a pair by Lucky last season. I think they were called Flight Pants. If they're still around, they're probably on sale.

Isabella, I bought those Target cargoes in black in the Fall. The are nice, though a little more low cut than I like my pants these days because of the junior fit. The fabric is a lightweight cotton.

The one from my post from a couple of days ago (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....os-keepers) are in stores right now, but I don't see them online. I think they were $28 or $29. They come in a couple of different fits according to their new fit system, and the material is more substantial - more like a denim. I like them a better, but both are worth a try.

Thank you everyone! If I wore them anywhere else than toddler playdates and playground (well, WILL try to dress them up a bit for a date night with hubby too but that doesn't happen too often recently, shame to say), I'd definitely not be afraid to splurge a bit... But if going down slides and spending my days playing on the floor with DD, a pricey pair will stay in the closet, I know for sure.. So I need a nice pair that fits well on a budget, tough I know. Same reason why I put back that beautiful white/blue watercolor blouse and white jeans back at the hanger last time at Marshalls.... LOL. Anyways..

Express has a nice pair too, and I do have some good coupons for 30 % off 120 or something, I WAS going to pick up a few of their Poet Blouses as well, I guess a trip to Macys (those $14 ones are tempting) AND Express AND Target is in order today... with a hyper 2 year old! Wish me luck and I'll report back if anything

Mine are from Banana Republic. They were calling them leggings, and they are semi-cropped, but I went up to a non-petite size to increase the length, and sized up one size to make them a little less snug, and ended up with just what I wanted.

I haven't worn them yet because to me, they cry out for sandals, and it's still pretty winter-y in my area.

Angie: it's my (almost) 5 year old bugger Pepper with a bit scruffy hair, last summer at a park. He adores my daughter, and they play together like there is no tomorrow...

Seems I'm still looking... none of the ones I thought I'll like fit me right... The Target ones were not very comfortable at the thighs - where the pockets were, but if I sized up, they'd be way too big in the waist and everywhere else. And they were long and loose on calves which wasn't the look I was going for. Macys didn't have the right shade of olive LOL, and I didn't see anything in the Gap. I did see a nice pair in Express but they were out of my size in Olive, I tried a different color for the fit but I'll try to locate them in another store next week just to be sure. Or I can always order them online, I have good coupon I can use to get 30 % off

My olive pair are from last fall. I got them at TJMaxx. The company name is Solo Works.

Ha, AJ, I have a denim jacket by the same brand and I too thought the logo said Solo Works. Apparently it's Salt Works. They are sold at Anthropologie and other higher-end retailers.

I'm amazed that logo got approved...
