Tell me about ASOS

I recently came across ASOS looking for some fit and flare skirts. They have several items that look appealing, and it looks like they have free shipping and returns here in the US.

Anyone ever buy from them? How is their quality? Service?

Yes. The service is fantastic, exchanges easy. ASOS won the major business award for online shopping experience last year, it's based out of the UK. Quality is all over, depends on what and whom you buy. I'm mostly an in store shopper.

Hmmm, no ASOS in my area, soi would have to use on line. Interestingly "midi" skirt to them means knee length! I am getting old. *sigh*

Has anyone ever bought the ASOS brand?

thistle, like amazon, ASOS is only an online store. I haven't seen any in the UK either when I was there on business travel. You should try it at least once! Kind of how I lucked out on dress for cheap on shopbop. Sometimes if you love it enough, I think it's worth the gamble. I only like to buy online things I can return, I've been burned enough times on final sale.

I've bought a few pieces from ASOS (I'm in Canada). I found the quality to be fairly good and the service very good. The size charts seem to be more accurate than most as well.

I recently bought some ASOS brand pants, but had to send them back and order a different size. The quality was satisfactory for the price on the pants, enough so that I thought it was worth the hassle of ordering again. Shipping is slow, though, compared to other retailers. Not too bothered by it, considering shipping and returns are free!

ETA: I used the size charts on the pants I purchased and even used a "compare" feature they have where you enter the measurements of a pair of pants you have and it shows how the item you're considering compares. Anyhow, based on this information, the pants I ordered were 1-2 sizes too big. The size I ordered was 1-2 sizes too large for me normally, so I figured ASOS must run small. I'm guessing things run more TTS, based on the fact I had to send for my NORMAL size. Does that make sense?

My one order from ASOS had to be returned, and I can say that the shipping and return process was fast and easy.

Not sure I can wait for sales. A lot of what I liked is already sold out in my size. *sigh*. I wish retailers would carry more in my size, and maybe a bit less in the sizes that tend to land on clearance.

Thistle: I've browsed ASOS, but never purchased. I wanted to let you know the ASOS Curve site (plus size) runs from a US Size 10. Yup. That's plus-sized now! You might find your size there. I like browsing there because the models are usually around 12/14, so I can see how an item might appear on me.

I've bought a few times, but haven't kept anything yet. However, I found that their order and returns process is great. No problems at all. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I have ordered from ASOS but it has been mostly for my daughter. I think the quality is at par with the price. Shipping is not the fastest but it's free.

I bought a lovely dark red leather obi belt from them. The shipping was fast. I had no problems with their service or delivery. I often go to their website for inspiration.

I recently ordered a striped top from ASOS Curve that is already a workhorse. I was happy with the quality and how fast I got the item, plus the return policy is stellar. I also love that they do a runway shot for every item.

I can't speak for mainstream sizes but for the plus sizes the quality is pretty great. I'm not sure if that is a reflection on their quality or just how crappy most plus size lines are. Most likely, its a combination of both.

I bought some bathing suits from ASOS, both Pour Moi and Asos brand. Very happy with product and service, though the shipping time (to Canada) is long.
