tech question - nordstrom links don't work

I need tech help here and if anyone can help, I would appreciate it, please. (My teenager and older son don't share my frustration with this. . .!)

I can click on most picture links successfully and I can click on a lot of shopping web site links, i.e. Macys, Old Navy, Piperlime, Zappos, etc,

BUT, whenever I click on a Nordstrom link, it stalls out at some click.synergy.com..... stage of actually transferring me to the Nordstroms web page.

Any ideas? I think this started, or became more pronounced, when we started using Kaspersky Internet security, but that's a long shot.

Technology can be SO frustrating and time comsuming. . .

Hi mnsara...can you try ...Nordstrome shoes, and then go to you preferred catagory? Are they the links here, or elswhere, because I haven't had any prob. here....you may have to sneak into Nordies through the back door, Your security may be blocking a nordies pop up?

Is this happening via the YLF store? If so, I feel like your anti-virus/security program might not like the linking program used between YLF and Nordies. I could be wrong... just an idea.

Thanks, that was a good idea. So I turned off Kaspersky and the YLF store links still did NOT link through (stuck at click.synergy.com...), but now the links in cyan45's post about party dresses work -- they take me to Nordstroms, to the dresses!

Hmmmm. . . . any other suggestions?

It seems that the commission program used by the YLF store to get credit from Nordstrom is being blocked by your computer. I have no idea how to get around that though, but it must be some sort of privacy setting. That's why you can access Cyan45's Nordstrom links but you can't get to them from the YLF store (Cyan45's aren't using the commission program). There has to be some way to allow access though. Maybe send a PM to Greg?

Sorry you are having this problem. If you can answer a few questions it will help me to investigate.

Does this happen with all store links to Nordstrom? Can you point me to a couple of links where you are seeing the problem? And finally, does it happen with links other than Nordstrom?

Hi, Greg - I usually have trouble with all store links to Nordstrom, BUT last night when I turned off Kaspersky, at least one link in Cyan45's post worked.

Now today, even with Kaspersky paused, no link to Nordstrom works.

I have added http://click.linksynergy.com/* to various approved/white lists inside Kaspersky, but I still cannot get to the designated Nordstrom page.

A couple months ago I was having similar trouble with linking from bing.com to macys.com. When I added macys.com to the various Kaspersky settings lists, the link started to work. I was hoping for the same results with this . . .

I may just have fixed it!!! I went back into Kaspersky and also added http://shop.nordstrom.com/* to all the approved/white lists (like macys.com and click.linksynergy.com) and Nordstorms links are now working

If they still work tomorrow (and the next day. . . ), I'm fixed.

Thanks for being a sounding board. I finished writing this up just in case someone else wants to shop through the YLF store link(s) and has similar trouble.
