The collection that I've been waiting for is finally out!

Thankfully I know her shoes don't work for me. Also, I already have a polka dot bag, so I probably (maybe?) don't need another one.

I want this coat but I fear the dots may be overwhelming for little me:

Maybe a bag, watch or gloves are the way to go because they really won't date or wear out like clothes... Ack!

I love that black/white polka dot dress but I also really like the idea of accessories - you might get more wear out of them.Gosh...it's all beautiful, isn't it?

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of polka dots or not but something jarrs me about the coat. Probably the fact though that this is the largest polka dot pattern I've seen up to date...
If you're small though as you said, it probably would overwhelm you.. Though I find it cool that the white spots are in certain areas of the upper body to make it look like a semi asymmetrical top.

I'd go with the bags/gloves/watch idea... But I think it's because I'm biased against the coat LOL. Hopefully someone who likes the coat can give you a better opinion..

Carol - this is the thing I like about the coat. I am a big fan of graphic black and white patterns and especially polka dots. to me they do not date. I love how it is retro modern. I wish it had a little more structure because I worry that the boxy shape and huge dots might not work on my 5' height.

Is there a Kate Spade store near you Rita? I would love to see you try on that coat and see how it looks on you IRL. I do agree it's a fab retro modern style and I actually don't see it dating quickly - the shape and of course, black/white polka dots read classic as well.

Yeah...I would want to try that on to see. The size of the dots could be overwhelming. Then again...maybe not. You have the striking colouring to work with it.

Thanks for sharing that collection, I really like the retro vibe, and I do bat for Team Polka Dot, though I didn't know it till I viewed all of those delightful items!

Bold coat - I vote yes for you but I'm too chicken.

Ohhh.. That coat has potential. I'd have to see it IRL to decide, because that picture of the model against that light background is not doing it any justice. It looks as if someone has "cannonballed" holes on her, LOL... I watch too many cartoons:)

I will be the lone dissenter.

Not a fan of the coat. I love polka dots, but for a coat, I would want to see something more timeless and classic, a piece you could use for a minimum of 5 years.

To me, this coat does not fit that bill.

Love to see you try the coat on Rita. So much in this range is calling my name. Thankfully KS is. It readily available here otherwise I would find it hard to excercise restraint:)
