Team Chunky or Team Dainty footwear

I'm Team Chunky for sure. I love thick straps from both an aesthetic and comfort perspective, and I love big chunky heels or wedges. It might be in part because I love short sack dresses and they look best with a big ol' chunk of a shoe. The second look on this post always stands out in my memory because the whole outfit just screams my name. I love it and would wear it in a heartbeat, even if it meant that I'd need a manservant to carry me around...

I have never been a fan of the classic pointy toe pump, nor do I particularly care for stilettos or spike heels. If I wear heels, they have to look fun, edgy, cute, spunky, and quirky. Not corporate and not sexy.

But at the same time, I do love sleek ballet flats and dainty kitten heels. I can't wear either though. My ballet flats need to be wide and I find thin heels wobbly regardless of height.

Definitely team chunky but I try to avoid extremes. I have never been a super pointy toe or stilletto heeled gal myself but I generally have one or two pair of shoes with one of these (to change things up occasionally). I also still like almond toes. In theory I also like kitten heels but don't usually end buying them.

Another chunky- lifestyle, practicality usually dictate chunky.
I do like dainty and love certain pointy toe looks but would have to side with team chunky.

Team chunky for the most part but I have some stilettos but they're in bootie form and/or have significant platforms. So I guess they're chunky stilettos.

Can I be on Team Manservant?

I have small, dainty, bony feet and small ankles so actually I wear dainty shoes really well. But my feet don't like the discomfort of narrow straps and thin heels so I stick to chunkier styles - which I happen to prefer the look of aesthetically too.

However, I am on Team REFINED Chunky. In the same way that I cannot pull off huge pieces of jewelry, I cannot pull off ultra chunky shoes - they swallow me up.

I'm on the dainty side too, but I'd totally wear a brick strapped to my foot anyway (comfort issues aside). My clog mary janes are pretty chunky but I wore them today happily (they passed the comfort test, yay).

Gosh, Maya. I'd love to see you in that second all-black look. Very Parisian artsy chic. At 5' 10" and 140 lbs, dainty is not really my style Please log me in as a member of team chunky. I used to wear traditional pumps with thin heels in the 80s. I wonder how we walked back then. Today's thicker heels are so much more reasonable.

Always chunky. When you have size 10 feet most shoes look chunky anyway. Except those Clark Brulees. I still can't wear them this season as they are just too girly and "non-chunky" enough to match the rest of me or something!!!

Always dainty! I have size 9 1/2 feet and I don't need any help making them look bigger! However, I am conscious of not going too dainty, as the contrast would itself look odd.

Guess you'd better add me to Team Chunky, for practical reasons (comfort, sizing) as well as aesthetics (I have muscular calves and wide feet, so I need something to complement those features).

I'll be the second member of Team Dainty. I definitely own many chunkier shoes, like wedges, but I like the clean aesthetic that you get from a daintier shoe. I hate pointy-toed heels as well, but I have many rounded and open toe daintier heels that I love. I pretty much only wear heels, and when I have on a very high but very chunky heel, I sometimes feel like I'm clomping around, and I hate that.

I'm in the same boat as Angie - I like the asthetics of a chunky shoe but my small feet require that they are refined chunky. I find if I wear actual dainty shoes, my feet disappear! I like a nice sturdy heel or strappy somethings so there's a nice bold STATEMENT! But I'm definitely Team Chunky!
