Tanya's post on color analysis reminded me of a jacket I tried on at Nordstrom yesterday when I was there to pick something up from alterations. It was a Halogen jacket that was really well-made, good-quality fabric, etc, and a cool, modern cut.

Of all the various blue shades, teal is one that I've never liked. To me all these colors with any hint of mustardy yellow in them such as citron, fuchsia, teal, etc--I've always been averse to them on myself. That said, I found my size for the jacket and tried it on and the color did look nice for me with my coloring. (Sorry, no pics. I didn't buy it, either.) I do admire those colors on other people, and am thinking I need to be more open-minded. I've always preferred the cooler versions of colors, but this is a fun, modern, upbeat, versatile color that would pop with other bright colors, some unexpected ones included.

Anyway the jacket just didn't seem right for me. The seam line at the top of the flaps hit too close to the bottom of my (prominent) bust...and I think it was cropped too short for me (despite my being really short-waisted, I always feel that way for some reason...I need a longer jacket). Maybe I also need something less boxy, with some flare at the hip? I don't know.

I'm a bit disappointed. Including a Find in case someone else can work this.
