Teal Bernardo jacket and Zella mesh shirt

Two more strong contenders arrived today. Pardon lack of attention to hair and makeup as I’m working at home today.

1-3 I was worried the teal puffer would be too small after Staysfit’s post, but I think the M is a good fit. It has a lot of stretch thanks to the neoprene panel on the side, which helps a lot. I also don’t plan to wear it over heavy layers since I don’t really wear chunky sweaters anyway. I cranked up the AC and tried it on over a cashmere sweater with jeans.

4-9 The Zella mesh marbleized print shirt, first pictured with a black cami underneath, and various toppers. I quite like it with a vest. TTS, lightweight, and comfortable. It may not be my absolute best neckline but I think it works best when it’s layered with other pieces, as I expected to do.

Ooh, I love both. The jacket is more sporty than I'm used to on you but I think it looks great! Love the pattern/color/length of the mesh top on you. Gorgeous fit and looks good in all iterations!!

Those both look like winners…good job! The mesh top looks much nicer on you than it did in the photo. The mesh top might be good with the new metallic bag you posted earlier.

Oooh I agree, both winners in my book too!! The teal jacket is divine!! Love that it's a puffer yet very sleek, and of course the colour is amazing.

The mesh top is beautiful as well (and the neckline looks good on you!), it's a fun and unique print, and very Janet.

That jacket is so great on you! My best-fitting puffer has elasticized side panels; your pictures make me think I should check this one out for myself. And the top seems to be an excellent base layer with all of your interesting toppers.

Both are total winners in my book and I'm bummed that neither is listed in the Canadian sale! I really like the styling options for the top -- it will be great for travel. (Imagine that, right?)

I like both….especially the teal jacket. Glad it fits! I thought it might since the small fit me (except in the sleeves).

Both are nice - jacket *is* a little sportier than your usual , I agree . But it is a pretty great colour . Mesh top seems to me a bit understated in colour for you - I’m on the fence about it ( maybe too close in tone to your hair colour and not enough oomph ? )

Both look good - mesh top especially as an excellent layer under your fabulous jackets and vests. I hear you about the neckline - I recently thrifted a COS top with an excellent pattern and fit but the neck is a bit tighter and higher than I am used too. I am thinking of seeing if a tailor can open it up a bit. But I think the mesh would be less bothersome.

Like Lisa, I’m on the fence about the mesh top. I think the scale of it is a little too busy for you. I think a larger scale marble print would be better. (I know marble prints are hard to find!) Neckline looks fine!

That teal jacket is everything! Great color and fit, well-executed quilting pattern. Also love the top; great design and good with the vests. While I find V necks or a somewhat wider neck opening most flattering, there are times when i want the coverage or warmth of a crew top. Clever to use vests to create that architecture.

I'm a little confused about the mentions of the colors in the top not being great on me. It's black and white with shades of grey, which I wear all the time. Is it because it's sheer and my skin shows through in the arms? I have a black cami on underneath. I'm also wearing zero makeup in these photos.

Those are great items, and both look amazing. I was thinking how much I liked the neckline on the mesh top before I read your comments. It's interesting and good. Love how you've styled everything!

To try to answer : it's a very busy print, and maybe because it's sheer, it looks blurry. I think I'm used to seeing you in more distinct patterns or patterns with a hit of colour. Maybe too close in colour and tone to your hair ?

I think I like the mesh top for softer colors and lower contrast especially.
Curious about wine colored jacket - which brand it is?

The teal jacket is terrific! I like the marble mesh top, too, though I am seeing what Lisa describes, too. It's just a quieter piece than usual for you, I think. The print is more diffuse, less distinct. On its own, it's not a piece that you glow in, like the teal of the jacket, if that makes sense. I can see that it will work well as a layering piece, perhaps for the very reason that it can take a background role.

Thanks for explaining the hesitation on the print of the mesh top. I tend to think that since it's a layering piece, not really to be worn on its own, the issue is mitigated. Nonetheless, good food for thought. I don't see it, but it may be my extreme sugar eye for a marble print -- as Brooklyn says, it's nearly impossible to find a good one.

Slim cat, that jacket is a faux suede from Paige a couple of years ago. I got it at the Rack in one of those after-season clearance sales for $24 (!).

I think the marble top works great as a layering piece. I particularly like it with the longer-length toppers!

FWIW, I really like the mesh top on you. I think maybe it looks a little busy simply because you are bare faced. I think the colors and print work well with your complexion.
