I'm going to a BLACK TIE OPTIONAL WEDDING in NYC in late May.
I am the groom's 1st cousin's girlfriend. My boyfriend will be wearing a nice black suit.
I'd really like the opportunity to dress up but I'm fine wearing a cocktail dress. The family is just slightly conservative; enough to make me want to cover my lotus tattoo on my front shoulder and my planet earth tattoo on my upper mid back.
My body type is muscular tending toward apple with strong, broad shoulders. My measurements are 40, 33, 40 and 5 foot 5 inches tall.
I do really like the idea of wearing a bunch of fabric like in the ball skirt listed below with an embellished cap sleeve blouse.
Is it ok to wear this bold teal pattern?
