Thank you for the suggestions of decaf tea to try. I've tried 3 black teas so far and have some herbal options on a Christmas wish list. Here are my rankings of the black teas, Miss America style:

• Second runner up: Twinnings Earl Grey decaf. Nothing really against it, it just served to solidify my feeling that for black tea, I want it straight, no extra flavors. Plain tea, just decaf.
• First runner up: Twinnings Decaf Black Tea. So this is what I was looking for and it is really decent. Thanks, Angie, for the recs. I will definitely finish the box and could be content with this, but...
• Winner...Barry's Decaf Blend. So smooth, no bitter edge that often accompanies decaf. It just tastes like tea! It brews up strong, but I've cut the brewing time to get it milder for my taste. Thanks missvee and Helena! I had never heard of this brand.

The herbals are UmmLila's Palais de Thes suggestions. I'm looking forward to trying them and will report after Christmas. If they weren't chosen as gifts I'll be gifting myself. Stay tuned. ;
