Target sweaters FTW or no?

I noticed that target was having a 40% off deal for black Friday (currently BOGO 50% off) and ordered a few online to try (I prefer to steer clear of all physical stores on black Friday!). They are of the "ultrasoft" variety and are indeed very soft. I've owned some of the same variety in the past and they've held up pretty well as long as I baby them like you would a cashmere sweater (delicate or hand wash, dry flat). They were a bargain at about $15 each. For #1, #2 and #3, I sized up for a looser fit. I'm thinking I'll keep these, even though they are probably a bit more fitted than is current.

I'm on the fence about the cobalt one in #4 . I did not size up on that one and I can't go any smaller. It is definitely more of a modern fluid/oversized fit, but my husband was not a fan. It does create the dreaded "tent effect" from the side, even when tucked. What do you think?

These all look terrific to my eye. #4 is my fave of the lot. I think the other three are great MOTG pieces for our climate. I could see the argyles with lace up boots to make them look even more hip. #1 is just a great color and flattering fit. I find myself reaching for these kind of sweaters all the time because I am okay wearing them all day--not so precious that I need to change out of them to do my daily activities.

I like them all too. #4 is probably my favourite - because it takes you out of your comfort zone, and it's the most fashionable. It is not uncommon for husbands to be against this type of style. If you think you won't wear it because hubs is not a fan - return it.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I had a suspicion that YFL would sway towards #4 because it did seem more on-trend than the fitted styles

kellygirl- these are indeed meant for my everyday MOTG uniform- with very young kids I hesitate to reach for my nicer items because you just never know when the day is going to end with finger-painting or baby-rejected applesauce...
Angie- thanks for the advice. I think I will keep the cobalt sweater since it's a low risk way of dipping my toes in the "oversized knits" water.

Do you all think the styling of #4 works (skinnies + boots) as is or should I be trying something else?

The styling of 4 is perfect! I find I need slim bottoms with that style. You look amazing! My kids are grown but I still find myself getting dirty--I love not having to worry about my clothes!

I like 4 too, as well as 2 and 3. There's something about the length of 1 combined with the cowl neck that's not grabbing me, although the color is great.

They're all fab and they make me want to check out my local Target to see if they still have some! My favorite is actually number 3. I love argyle and I love the look of fitted sweaters, even if they're not trendy. But in any case you look really good in all of them.
