Tapered jeans not worth wearing heels for.

Got these pants online on a whim for like $30. They're really cute and a dressier notch above typical jeans. They taper from shin-down and are the right length. I won't wear them in heels (2"+) , absolutely no way. Recommendations?

These just look like slim straights (between a skinny and a straight leg). I don't see any reason you couldn't wear them with flats. They could also probably be rolled to ankle length.

I have pants with a similar cut and I can't wear heels except for special occasions, assuming I am drinking enough wine to kill the pain. I usually wear flats with them, and find that it is easier to wear flats here than with true skinnies.

D'Orsay flats! I think d'orsay flats have the dressy vibe of a heel.

I love the d'Orsay flat idea! I'd add any point-toe flat, especially a lace-up front one. A pointy-toe kitten heel might be nice. Ballerinas would work, but I think a pointy toe would read more "2016." Also, maybe try a sleek old school trainer in black or gray, like New Balances or something. When you say they are the right length -- are they a bit cropped on you, like the photo shows?
