Tanks/camis to wear under a blazer?

Hi all, I'm getting confused about this whole genre of tanks and camis that are meant to be seen, versus not. Specifically I'm looking for pieces to wear under a navy J Crew schoolboy blazer. I'd love any recommendations. Thanks!

I don't really wear camis or tanks except as an underlayer (I mean as under a top) but if they are modest enough I don't see why you couldn't wear any of them under a blazer on their own if this fit with your style. For myself, it's not enough coverage but that is just due to my own figure flattery and modesty priorities. Oh, and the fact that I might want to remove my jacket.

I'm glad you asked about this, Pebbles. I've always thought that it's okay to show a tank but that a cami should be strictly an undergarment. But these days, there are some really beautiful camis, and it seems a shame to completely conceal them. I'll be following this thread with interest.
