I know that this might seem like a weird time to bring up white shoes (after Labor Day, gasp! but after finding white footwear unappealing for the longest time, I'm starting to wonder if my eye is adjusting. Part of it for me is the addition of a white leather jacket to my wardrobe, and wondering if perhaps a bit of white in a shoe might not be nice for bookending.
I'm not sure I should go for an all-white shoe, but I have been looking at some graphic black and white options, and I wouldn't rule out a white shoe, if it were the right one.
I'm thinking of booties, oxfords, loafers, or flats. Perhaps a pump if it's really comfortable and dress-down-able. Something for fall through spring. Summer is too hot for a leather jacket around here, and I pretty much wear sandals all summer long anyway.
I'm sure I would be quite fine without any white shoes, but I did enjoy the black and white Doc Saras. Unfortunately, they feel a bit too clunky to me now, and I'm craving more refined shoe styles.
What are your feelings about white in footwear, for yourself, and for me? My dark hair makes black a natural bookending choice, but I've seen enough fresh looking white-shoe looks on Pinterest and here (especially Angie) that I'm thinking it could be fun.
