What would this dress add to your wardrobe that you don't already have? Tempting as it is, will it really make you happy, or will it just add to the guilt over having too big a closet?

How often do you wear dresses? How many do you have? If you wear them once a week and have a dozen or more, you likely don't need it. But if you only have like 6 and wear one every week, go for it!
This gets back to the reality of "how often will I wear it and where will I wear it?" Instead of "ooh, I like that, it's cool!" Not nearly as fun, I know, but you asked us to keep you in line.

It's unlined too, which is not a problem easily addressed by a cami when it is a dress, rather than a top. Do you already own a slip that'll work with this? If not, is is worth the bother?

Also, never seen you in any of these colours. Perhaps there's a reason why they're not in your wardrobe?

It's half-a**ed poofy. The pleats or gathers seem like a after thought. They should be bigger and bolder, more poofy, or not there at all.

Go for it! This stands out from your body so would be cool to wear in your hot weather, and the brown would be a flattering color on you -- I like this color on you more than the black and charcoal you usually wear.

There are so many cute things on the internet at such great prices I find it hard to resist myself. I have started to skip buying many things and realize that the next day or so I do not even remember what it was I was looking at or what website it was on.

My reason has nothing to do with SYC.

I'm not crazy about the left side. From both front and back pics, it poofs unevenly compared to the right side. That would bug me, making me look like I have one big left hip and a smaller right hip. I'm all for strong architectural designs but my body is already asymmetrical, this makes it even more so. Unless that is precisely the look you are going for.

Truthfully, IK, when it comes to architectural dresses, I've seen far better. Save your money and keep SYC.

There is an app called "Freedom" that's billed as internet blocking productivity software. It locks you away from the Internet for a specified period of time (you choose) so you can get work done.

Maybe somebody more tech savvy than me knows if it's possible to block just a website?

The wide neckline and cap sleeves would really emphasize IT leanings. It seems loose enough that it might also be hard to layer nicely, too, and I know you always need a topper in the arctic office.

And also - you're supposed to be shopping your closet! Go peek in there and count your dresses, young lady. *attempts a stern face*
