Talk me out of buying these pants!

Okay, so I fell in love with these pants the moment I saw them in the JCrew catalog. Of course, they are MADLY expensive. But now, they went on sale I have a 30% off coupon.

But...

They are still kind of pricey (for a novelty item like this). And, I am in the 20lbs into a 40lb weight loss. Also, I really don't have anything to wear with them - not even the white shirt the model is in. Or at least, I have no idea how to style them.

But I want them!!!! AAAGGHHH!

They are lovely, but H&M has a similar pattern in cotton for a lot less. Since you are in the midst of weight loss, I can't in good faith encourage you to buy these, lovely as they are (and they are really lovely!).

There will be another lovely opportunity in the future. I walked away from a couple of dresses that actually fit me (do you know how rare that is) because I knew I'd only wear them a few times before they no longer fit me, and that the future will also hold lovely dresses.

It stung a bit, but I'm glad I did.

Keep the pic in an inspiration file, play with styling them for now.

Yes, H&M will fill that niche and when you are at goal you can hunt another pair.

I would check out the ones at H&M, but Dress the body you have today. As we are heading into fall, how much Will you actually wear these? Knowing you still have half way to go, you will not fit into these this spring/summer, so how many wears will you get before then?

Is the cost per wear still worth it to you, or would your fall budget be better suited to other items?

My thought would be if you would wear these weekly or every other week until you drop a size, it might be worth it. Only you can answer that.
