I have that itch, well it's now beyond an itch and more of a twitch, you know the one, it's your body's way of saying shop....SHOP!!! I need to buy something and for once I have seen things which I do want to buy but as I am following a compulsion I would love your input into these two items.

(I'm sorry I have no direct links for the items)

#1 - heavily reduced silk/ cotton blend blouse which I picture being worn dressed up or down or classically for the office.

#2 - heavily discounted 100% machine washable silk dress which again I can picture dressed up or to the office.

I do need to update my work wardrobe but in light of my eldest daughters health issues I may be a stay at home Mum in the not so distant future.

The dress is amazing. I do like the blouse too.

The blouse doesn't have a wow factor, but it is a good basic and a silk blend is always nice.

The dress is very pretty and I like the artsy/graphic houndstooth design.

Well! I like them both - the shirt is very versatile, and the dress is a nice office length and has sleeves!

Will either of these fill holes? Will either duplicate?

Yay for the dress. If and when you *need* an ivory blouse, there should be plenty to choose from.

A good dress at a deep discount, however, is a treasure. This presumes that the dress will fit and flatter and this one looks good!

Fab dress! Not sure about the blouse. If you had unlimited money would you choose this above another? I can see you looking fab in it, though. Is it washable?

I'm not sure about the blouse, it looks like the fabric could be a bit see-through and I personally don't like that with white pieces. I love love love the dress though!

Love the dress. It's is stunning. The blouse I think could become a bit of a workhorse. I see so many options foe wearing it. Tucked, untucked, with skirt, with a straight leg pant, under a shift dress. And lots of ways to accessorize it:)

I love the blouse! I think it's perfect for MOTG and your work wardrobe.

I like the dress too. Not entirely in love with the sleeves but it's not a deal breaker.

I love the dress on you but frankly if you're not sure whether or not you'll be a SAHM in the near future I'd pass on both of them...

I really like both! The detailing on the blouse sleeves is very interesting. I love the cut of the dress and the fabric/pattern. Can't go wrong with either!

Ah so the dress appears to be the favourite, Angie raises a good point about the sleeve length, it is not my best. Something to ponder.

I am still quite keen on the blouse which has received more of a mixed response, it is machine washable and I am on the dressier end of the MOTG spectrum.Jonesy, it is the shoulder detail which appeals to me also.

I'm going to try and not pull the trigger until tomorrow and see how I feel.

Asking the forum helped my itch subside, thank you.

Having pondered this awhile, I actually think the top is the better purchase. I love the print and colors of the dress, but the shoulders are tricky and I don't care for the lack of tailoring in the back. I think especially in light of today's blog post I am in favor of the machine-washable fab woven top.
