I have several of these sweaters. In winter 2010, I bought two long sleeve cardis. They were a nice medium-heavy cotton and slightly fitted. But, I found after two seasons, they are fading on the seams and edges. I'm no expert in cotton knits so I don't know if that's as long as the color will last at ~ 2 washings per month. I also bought several for summer. These are a lighter-weight cotton. The ones I bought last summer are starting to show some fading on the seams and edges. They're soft and comfy for sure. But I was hoping to get more than two seasons out of them.
I tried one on this fall, to replace my faded red one. But the fabric weight is lighter than last fall, and it doesn't seem heavy enough to wear over a long sleeve blouse. Because of the fading and lightness, I"m hesitant to buy another one. I'd be curious if anyone had knowledge of how long cotton knits last before they start to fade.
