Today’s New York Times magazine section had ideas for pattern mixing (1-5), layering (6-14), showing team spirit (15-18), fit (19-21), blazer style (22-24), other:
Coats: 25- nylon coat, 26-27- leather jackets, 28- oversized puffer
29- statement loafers
30- track pants and a blazer
31- statement necklaces

OMG, so good. In love with mixed and layered plaids. It looks like the old rules about mixing patterns in the same colors but different sizes are out the window.

And even better, layered puffer nomad MadMax outfit. This is how I want to dress in February.

I like some of the color combinations a lot. And the plaid mixing could be fun for autumn. I told my husband to look at the magazine.

Love the plaids and the oversize blazers. Can't see any of the men in my life wearing these but I would myself.

I love how elegant some of these looks are. The clothing is so oversized that I cannot see these styles looking fab on me. However, it is lovely to see and the plaid pattern mixing is inspired. I am coveting the pink and black check blazer.

Angie, Bijou, Robin, Adriana, Jessikams and Rachylou, thank you for looking and your comments. I was surprised by the oversized coats but inspired by the plaid mixing and layering. The maximal scrunch on some of those trousers was shocking, as well as tight jackets that pulled when buttoned.

Im not one for plaid for my own style, but dh likes it. Getting him to be intentional about his style enough to mix plaids? I dont see it happening!

Suntiger, I don't see my DH mixing plaid either. I am still trying to get him to wear the leather jacket I bought him a few years ago!

I love the pink plaid jacket in 7.
11 reminds me of the snow that I will have to shovel this winter

Yes, Joyce, I want pink plaid, at least in a flannel shirt. That long puffer outfit would be perfect for an elementary teacher out on winter playground duty!

Mr suntiger bought expensive sandals 2 months ago. Its been 90 degrees +. Whats he been wearing? Tennis shoes which take all the effort to lace up, not the sandals that just slide on. Then he complains hes hot!
