It's a pleasure, ladies. Greg sent me the link. I agreed with him that the message in the video is one of the most important life messages of them all.
Adjusting the way we think about things and people is in our control - be more self aware and less self absorbed. (For example, the universe does not revolve around me when I am impatient standing in any queue. I need to suck it up and be calm about it). Loose the judgement, and do not assume you know the reasons behind a person's behaviour and actions. Give them the benefit of the doubt first. When we choose to think of things a certain way - we can be calmer and happier. And finding this state of calm and happy is a life goal for us all. Good for the people around us AND good for you. It's a win-win thing. (I'm preaching this to myself, btw. Not you).
I have been feeling a sense of calm come over me since the start of the New Year. It's excellent timing after much grieving and negative energy for 3.5 years.
High five, Inge and Caro. Exactly.
Janet, like most things in life - practice makes perfect. Each time I fail at being emotionally intelligent, I know I can start again the next day. And hope I do a better job.
