As noted elsewhere, I ordered the Theory faux leather mini shift dress in two sizes.

The smaller is just right in its lower width, but the armholes and neck are somewhat constricting on me. Not dreadful but I suspect if I wore it all day I'd be dying to take it off.

The larger is better sized for me in those openings, but needs a tailoring nip in at the sides.

Our tailors: will a nip tuck of the side seams render the armholes tighter so that I'm right back where I started? What do you think?
