I went shopping at Stanford Mall today. I like to go to Nordstrom there because it is so much larger than the Valley Fair store. I didn't see much of interest until I was headed out and I spied the sale rack. There was a black Tahari jacket there that I hadn't seen before, and when I looked at the price tag I couldn't believe it--too good to be true--a $298 nice black Tahari leather jacket for $119. So I tried it on. Black leather is tough for me to wear, but this one looked good and fit nearly perfectly. So I bought it.

When it was rung up, though, the price came up $198. The SA took the jacket to the manager's office to see what the deal was. Well, apparently it was a return and in the process of marking in down someone hadn't clearly deciphered the sale price at the top of the ticket. So they offered to knock off $20 and I said okay, it was still a good deal, although no longer a steal.

I came home and checked online--Nordstrom didn't have it but Bloomie's did.

This is the jacket for $498 minus a $50 discount. This is exactly the same except mine is black. I don't remember this jacket being on the NAS.

I'm going to an art opening thingy tomorrow evening and thinking of wearing it. Too tired for photos now, but any ideas will be appreciated.

So maybe it was a steal after all?
