I think this is hilarious for Sharan. But can I say, completely off topic, that I find these sorts of gendered euphemisms for assertive women to be so completely patronizing, and a way of keeping women 'in their place.' Wy must I either be categorized as a bitch or a firecracker? You would never see a guy wearing this shirt. He's allowed to be assertive, in whatever way he pleases.

Sorry for the off-topic rant; I think that buying t-shirts for my 6 yo girl and 8 yo boy has really opened me up to the gender roles we 'allow' for with both men and women.

Great find.
Roxanna, your rant is food for thought. I have seen and rejected little boy tees with messages about being tough. Why not something about being peaceful or calm for a boy? And don’t even get me started on how I feel about princess messages for little girls.

I remember when my son was little and loved Dora the Explorer (cartoon adventure girl). Every single thing you could buy that was Dora branded was extremely frilly, pink, and princessy. But Dora herself always wore practical shorts and a t-shirt. So annoying.

No problemo! I just thought it was a fun reminder of a great Fabber!

I struggle with graphic T’s mysel-/ havd 3 items with words- 2 T’s and a sweatshirt- but wonder if/ when I will feel silly wearing them. I do not find much that resonates and seems authentic for me plus I tend to get self- conscious and hard to “ own” it.

I love graphic tees but like you I find it hard to find ones that are authentic to me. And then I struggle by what I am projecting when I wear one. Just the overthinker that I am

@Julie - I totally hear you. And I hate that in the Dora reboot she had long hair and a heart shaped face. What was wrong with a round faced girl in a t short and shorts?

I saw that tee and thought of Sharan. I completely agree with you, Roxanna. I don't wear graphic tees with sayings on them for that reason. The ones I have are all of animals.

I choose graphic tees very carefully. They absolutely have to mean something to me. Most of my graphic tees have animals, too. But my favorite one was by the Friends of Nevada Wilderness. It has the welcome to fabulous Las Vegas sign, but instead it says Welcome to Fabulous Wilderness.

I think Firecracker (Sharan) once said she chose that screen name because her birthday is Independence Day. She may not use it anywhere else.
