T-shirts - have you tried anything new that you liked?

Looking for an all cotton T-shirt that has a V-neck, is not terrible transparent and not too long. Ok if it lasts a single-season but willing to pay more for silk.

I haven’t found anything at Gap, Uniqlo or Madewell that has worked for me.

Not cotton though...I think it's modal. But a lovely weight, not transparent at all.

I still rely heavily on everlane for tees that last multiple seasons but aren't too thick or too thin. They aren't perfect (v-neck tends to get a little out of shape after a season of washings) but they are pretty darn good. Other places would be garnet hill or eileen fisher (some).

Texstyle: I have to order a bunch of styles from Everlane and try them all out. Do you find they run long?

I have to say, I find Everlane's tees a little flimsy and don't buy them anymore. I do like the fit of their box cut tee, but still too thin for my preferences and the stitching started to unravel after just a few washes.

My favorite tees are the Uniqlo U crewnecks. They are a classic, more fitted style in a substantial 100% cotton. One of the few tees I've found that isn't too long. I don't like to tuck, so tees that hit at low-hip are pretty useless to me. They only come in crewneck, but I think the regular Uniqlo Supima tees come in a v-neck.

You might want to have a look at Entireworld or Richer Poorer. I haven't tried either of them but they look like good candidates. Not sure if they do a v-neck though.

LaP, those are my fav too and I size up for lounge wear. Substantial and wash well. I wish they made a V neck version.

I find the Three Dots T-Shirts to be very substantial. There are lots of colours and they come in V necks, scoop necks and crew necks. I have several in the 3/4 sleeve version. They are hip length so they can be worn tucked or not. I order them from Amazon.
I also like the RE/DONE T-Shirts. They have lots of styles if you go to their website. I have the 60s style (very fitted) and the boxy style. They are thinner than the Three Dots and do not come in very many colours. The look is more "edgy". A cool girl look but at 64 I do not look cool. I am just happy to find a T-Shirt that fits.
I have a few James Perse T-Shirts. They come in different styles and colours. The ones I have are a couple of years old and are in good shape. Not my favourites but some people love them.

These are 100% cotton and wash well. I always hang to dry. They last a long time.

Have you tried Bella + Canvas? Many styles on offer. As inexpensive as you can get. Long lasting, too. I like the cut and fabric of their men's 100% cotton v-neck which is VERY SOFT and thin but not too thin though probably longer in the torso than what you're looking for.

elpgal - I find the everlane tees to be varied - the heather charcoal and white for example runs smaller and seems to be shorter than the navy, green or brown v-neck I own (some colors are from years past). I only buy the v-neck style as it is my preference. If I'm going to wear them as a regular daytime top I try not to dry them in the dryer (my green and brown tee are in much better shape for that reason - I wash them in cold water and they get a quick warm up on delicate in the dryer then I hang them).

I need a L from everlane, where other tees I might buy a M or even S if from Eileen Fisher.

You can try different designs or even personalize your t-shirts maybe. I was looking for a shop which I can buy some custom clothes and a friend suggested me to visit a website. All cotton and quality tees. Now I don't experience anymore problems for shopping
