Maybe I shouldn't have gone to the mall but I did and found this cute warm pink jacket.
It is so soft....
Please use your super powers to keep me from rationalizing this for next month buying list.

Eta: did I mention that they also have a trench coat on this color?

Well, do you have a blazer or perhaps a cardigan in this color that you could use similarly? If so, then pass.

If you don't have such an item in your closet, have you been looking to fill this hole for awhile? If so, and you love it and you can afford it, maybe it's okay to go forward with the purchase, particularly as you have a budget for it in the next month. . .

Ok, to help you out I'll tell you that when I did a 3 months complete SYC last year I didn't regret *anything* that I had to leave at the mall enough to remember what it was today. Sure there were lots of pretty things, but there will ALWAYS be more pretty things, next week, next month, next year. There will always be something you'd like to have.

What is the point of your SYC? Remind yourself of that as you step away from the mannequin...

At the other end however, I only lasted 2 weeks SYCing this year! LOL

Giving it a shot!

- Do you have brights in your closet already?

- Blazers are hard to fit, anyway. There's a good chance the shoulders/bust/waist/sleeves are all wrong.

- Bright colors come back around every few years. Another might pop up sometime when you are not on SYC.

Ha ha at Kim's answer(s)!! I fell hard this week, too. But the point that she didn't regret walking away from any of those wants on last year's SYC is a good one.

I understand what Kim is saying about not regretting what she didn't buy.It happened the same to me this winter.
Rae I do love your attitude of 'it probably wouldn't fit right anyway
I will pass ut for now.Especially because I wouldn't be able to wear it now anyway but will keep it in mind( both jacket and trench) and revisit it in March.

I'm not a good enabler when it comes to support for NOT buying something pretty... But what I'd do is keep an eye on it, in person or through an online shopping cart, to see if it becomes cheaper when you are off SYC.

I am really bad at this, but I often try something on in this case because if the fit is no good, you can forget about the whole thing right away, and if it is good that you can attempt to approach the situation from a rational perspective. Sorry if that doesn't help.
