I'm feeling a bit under the weather today, so I thought I'd try to cheer myself up by pulling together a shop-my-closet version of Angie's newest capsule.
Bottoms:
1 - striped knit skirt (Jones New York Studio, Dress Barn)
2 - aubergine cords (Boden)
3 - tweedy trousers (thrifted)
4 - gray jeans (Eddie Bauer)
Tops:
5- dotted blouse (Gap via Twice)
6 - chambray shirt (Old Navy)
7 - plum shirt (Loft via Twice)
8 - intarsia star sweater (Mossimo, Target)
9 - olive turtleneck sweater (Gap)
10 - teal v-neck sweater (Mossimo, thrifted)
Toppers:
11- cardigan/poncho thing (on loan from Gwynnie Bee)
12 - black cardigan (Joseph B)
13 - gray cardigan (Chico's, consignment)
Shoes:
14 - tall black boots (Born/Garnet Hill)
15 - silver wingtips (Asos)
16 - patterned slipper flats (Nordstrom Rack)
17 - black booties (Born)
Coat:
18 - ecru car coat (vintage, thrifted)
Bags:
19 - fuchsia, Target; orange, Anne Klein (thrifted)
If I were doing this for a dressier office, I would switch out the gray jeans for a pair of black trousers. In real life, the purple top purple pants combo might be a bit too Barney, although with a tonal scarf it might work. For a business trip, I might take one cardigan and one blazer, instead of two plain cardigans - I'd be more likely to wear the blazer over the sweater-y tops rather than two sweaters layered.
