After the chiropractor, I usually pop into Marshall's just for fun. I have been very un-tempted until today, when I saw this Allsaints leather and shearling leather jacket for $150. They had my size, so I tried it on. It fit! It flattered! I was very tempted.
But I eventually left it behind, not even daring to buy it with intent to resell, because I thought I'd talk myself into keeping it. I decided not to get it because a) SYC is in double effect due to my Frye boots, b) it's not the style of jacket I've had on my mind lately, c) there's still lots of life in my F21 faux shearling jacket, and d) most importantly, the Allsaints one cannot be zipped all the way up to keep the chest/neck warm.
I'm still sort of on edge, fighting the urge to go back and nab! that! deal! The devil on my shoulder says the real shearling will keep me plenty warm so that I won't need it zipped all the way up, and that the hip length will look way better with jeans, and that it will hold its value for resale, and that I'm not in love with my 50-cent DIY black leather jacket.
But I did well to leave it behind, right? Yes? Right?
