SYC Cold Sweats!

These boots are casual. They are not my dominant season. They don't bookend with my hair. They don't bookend with my jackets.

BUT I LOVE THEM. So totally UWP. With a slim shaft, with doesn't always happen in shearling-type boots. Leather instead of suede, which is also uncommon with shearling. Top buckle set low that I could shorten if too tall. And so totally on sale.

GAAAAAAAH!

Oh, I feel your pain! I caved. How many casual boots do you have? Do you wear them all? Tell yourself what you can wear in place of these. Jedi mind tricks - that's what you need to use!!

Sorry Rae, totally not practical for LA. Don't you already have shearling boots? Go for unlined taupe boots that you can wear almost year round.

Deep breaths. I'm trying to listen to my inner Jedi, but there's a Sith on the other shoulder rationalizing away. And he's wearing awesome boots. o_0

Jedi:
- I have chocolate brown shearling lined boots, which I adore.
- I have black tall boots that are also good to wear over skinnies.
- I just ordered three pairs of boots for work. IF one of them works, they could be worn in winter, casually, as well as in spring.

Sith:
- My feet are always, always cold, as late as June sometimes.
- It's been so hard to find lighter boots I like.
- There has got to be something I can sell to pay for these...
- I wore boots over leggings almost every day this winter. Repeated exact outfits maybe 10 times.
- Picturing them with the problematic white skinnies...

Current tall boot count:

1 chocolate casual
1 black dressy
1 chocolate dressy

Lots of short boots, but that's another animal to me...

The toe isn't that pointy from the top, but I see what you mean. It does look like a significant arch from heel to toe (intriguing to one who constantly craves more arch support). Una, I stumbled upon these after looking at your other boot suggestions yesterday!

OK. I have boots coming Monday and Tuesday. Trying those on with F/W *and* S/S outfits might help a lot, to show me what Rita said. If I'm still lusting after these after all that, I can re-evaluate.

Whew. Safe for now after talking with my SYC-not-so-anonymous sponsors...

Hold out! Deliveries are on the way! Breathe!

I have superhigh arches and need arch support. It's the style that seems a bit too mishmashed to me - it's like a cowboy boot and a pair of Uggs had a baby (and I love both those styles, as you know!).

Oh dear but you have so many boots already! Really cute though! When I want something that I already own a lot of, I keep trying to think of some item that I don't have. I have actually started writing down items I need so to try to keep on track!!
